It’s well-documented that starting an OnlyFans account - especially if you already have an audience from a career in the public eye - can almost instantly change your financial luck. Many down-and-out actors and athletes have turned to OnlyFans and are reaping the rewards, while maintaining creative control. But how many millionaires has OnlyFans made? The company just put out some data on that topic and it’s intriguing to say the least.
It may seem like forever ago in the broader scheme of things, but OnlyFans was founded in 2016 as a Patreon-style platform, offering users more intimate access to their favorite (usually already famous) content creators or public figures. While the company’s net worth skyrocketed in 2020 mostly thanks to the adult content boom accompanying the COVID-19 pandemic, more and more of the famous and the infamous alike are making millions, whether they’re creating NSFW content or just having fun talking to people.
Over the last 10 years, OnlyFans has paid out a whopping $30 billion (with a b) to its nearly five million creator accounts, with $6.3 billion going out in the last year alone. The site also estimates there are around 437 million fan accounts (accounts that don’t create content but consume it). OnlyFans takes a 20% cut of all transactions on the platform, which just might account for the company’s $3.15 billion valuation. OnlyFans reported a $1.55 million profit in the fiscal year ending November 2025, a net 10% growth. The company has paid over £600 million to the United Kingdom’s government in corporate taxes, with £147 million being paid in 2025.
We could brag about how much OnlyFans is worth all day, but how much is it making for its creators?
According to OnlyFans, the platform is home to 5,076 content creators who have made over $1 million. In a statement, OnlyFans CEO Keily Blair said that the company owes its success to the gap it bridges between creators and fans. “OnlyFans provides real opportunities to real people by creating a safe, regulated space where people can monetize their content with a global fan base,” Blair said. “In 2026, we continue to grow our offerings to both creators and fans, demonstrating and realizing the value, success and potential of the global creator economy across all verticals and genres.”
It’s easy to see why OnlyFans is so successful. Some actors’ impressive financial yields have made headlines this year, and when they discuss what OnlyFans means to them, the lane occupied by OnlyFans becomes well-defined. Many actors have long lamented Hollywood’s predictable rollercoaster ride, often ending in actors going from hot (in-demand) to not (struggling for work) in a time period too short to plan for. It seems Hollywood executives begrudgingly share the proceeds of an actor’s hard work with them, whereas, on OnlyFans, actors get 80% right off the bat.
Put simply, actors are making more money on OnlyFans, and they get to keep more of it.
“It was really surprising, and I was honored that my fans came out and supported me,” Actress Shannon Elizabeth said of her extremely successful first week on OnlyFans, where she netted over $1 million.
Actress Megan Prescott says her OnlyFans account saved her from bankruptcy. “I’d spent so many years in acting, trying to get things moving and nothing [was] happening,” the British actress said. “Going on OnlyFans and realizing all this content that I was making for free people would pay for and people would like to pay for, just changed my entire point of view and it really did improve my creative outputs.”
Countless public figures have used OnlyFans as a way to fund their other endeavors, whilst keeping complete control over what they post. OnlyFans allows talented people to monetize their content and monetize their connection with fans. With a business model so successful, it’s no wonder OnlyFans is making a killing and spreading the wealth with its creators.
