Lily Phillips, Annie Knight & “Competitive Sex”

British creators Lily Phillips and Bonnie Blue are putting up numbers that would make your average “ladie’s man” jealous, and we’re not talking about followers. Most normal people might have between two and fourteen sexual partners in their lifetime, but creators like Phillips and Blue see numbers that low and scoff. While the reactions they’ve received have been mixed, we’re following reasons why all press might be good press when it comes to OnlyFans stunts.

Australian OnlyFans creator Annie Knight had been getting attention after being named “Australia’s Most Sexually Active Woman” an award handed out by two radio hosts. Knight, feeling pressure to keep that title, found a lucrative, if dangerous way to make sure no one ever comes close to taking her place. In just six hours, she had sex with 583 men. That’s about 97 men per hour. Knight was able to make a nice chunk of change from this event, but at great personal physical cost. A few days after this record-setting romp, Knight checked herself into the hospital, saying she had “hit a wall” and that she was experiencing exhaustion and feeling “burnt out”. Stunts like these are not only physically dangerous, they can also do varying damage to one’s reputation, something Knight is well aware of. “Honestly, I have made millions off being controversial, and had I not done all the controversial things that I’ve done, I wouldn’t have made even a quarter of the money I’ve made in the past three years,” Knight recalls. Had she not gotten competitive, Knight estimates a total loss of “like five million dollars”. 

When it comes to controversy, Knight understands there’s “definitely a limit”. “If you become too controversial, you can box yourself in and limit future opportunities. If you offend people or disrespect groups of people, that’s when it can go very wrong. I’ve always tried to stay within my morals,” adding,”If women don’t like you, it definitely limits you. If I wanted to do TV presenting or brand deals with fashion companies, they’re not going to want to work with me if women aren’t interested in what I have to say.” 

Knight recognizes that, although her OnlyFans audience is mostly male, female perception matters a lot. “Obviously with OnlyFans you’re going to attract men, that’s the goal, but if you want longevity and future opportunities, female audiences matter a lot. I’m not going to disrupt my peace just for views and clicks anymore. At this point, I’m just being myself and how people perceive that is up to them.”

British creator Lily Phillips takes a less cautious approach when it comes to public perception. Recently, the blonde bombshell set an *unofficial* world record by sleeping with 1,113 men in 12 hours, defeating fellow countrywoman Bonnie Blue’s previous record by 56 men. In videos posted to her TikTok, she can be seen stamping the hands of prospective participants as they wait in line outside a building for their opportunity. 

 Some creators, like star Sophie Rain, say that this competitive atmosphere means OnlyFans creators aren’t taken “seriously anymore”. Rain, who has made over $100 million without showing much more than a risque selfie, says that stunts like these take the spotlight away from the “thousands of women making real money and supporting themselves through this.” Phillips pushes back on this, arguing,” I think the reason some people struggle to separate their own preferences from other people’s choices is because they assume their values are universal. If something feels degrading, risky, exploitative, exciting or acceptable to them, it can be difficult to imagine that somebody else experiences it differently.”
