26-year-old Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird joined OnlyFans in spring of this year, and the results have surprised even her.
Efird (whose maiden name is Shannon) previously appeared on TLC’s wildly popular reality show, Toddlers & Tiaras - a show about children’s beauty pageants - with her sister Alana. Alana, known as Honey Boo Boo, earned the family a series of their own with her unique personality and antics. The spinoff, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, aired on TLC from 2012 to 2014. While Alana might have owned the spotlight on that show, Efird is reclaiming her fame with a bold switch to OnlyFans.
Unlike supermodel Harry Jowsey, who has a free account but made $15 million, Efird has earned plenty of cash through charging a premium for her content - and making said content extra spicy.
“I really started doing hardcore because, truthfully, it’s another revenue of money and so many options to do and give,” Efird told gossip outlet TMZ. Efird normally charges people wishing to subscribe $9.99 a month, but she’s running a discount that takes the price down to $5 for one month. She also has bundle deals offering 10% off a 3 month subscription, 15% off a 6 month subscription and 35% off a 12 month subscription.
Once you’re subscribed, you can expect some additional paywalls for some of the long form, “hardcore” stuff that Efird gets into with her boyfriend and scene partner, Darrin Kitchens. Most videos on Efird’s page are being sold for between $100 and $150, with custom content starting at around the same price. For now, most of her 92 posts are zesty photoshoots and videos with her boyfriend, but Efird says more exciting stuff is in the works. She’s hinted at making girl-on-girl content and possibly threesomes with her boyfriend. Efird has also reportedly reached out to OnlyFans stars like Sophie Rain, one of the platform’s most popular creators (Rain claims to have made over $100 million on OnlyFans).
Efird says she’s in the top 0.5 percent of OnlyFans creators and has made profits “almost in the six figure range.” Word has spread fast, with her content amassing almost 24,000 total likes, so a high payday isn’t that far fetched.
Efird isn’t the only celebrity to have reported major financial gains on OnlyFans. Recently, it was reported that Shannon Elizabeth, the American Pie and Scary Movie actress made over $1 million in her first week of being on OnlyFans. In fact, plenty of former television stars see OnlyFans as a way around Hollywood’s controlling nature. Actress Maitland Ward, known for her roles on The Bold and The Beautiful and Boy Meets World, says OnlyFans allows her to control her own destiny, rather than being typecast by Hollywood executives. Ward explains that “Hollywood wanted to mold and form these young actors into what they wanted them to be, what they needed them to be for the company and for the audience to what they felt would identify with.”
Whether or not you agree with Efird’s choice to start up an OnlyFans account, Efird says that A: she doesn’t care and B: she does it all for her children. “The world has seen tits and ass from everyone,” Efird says. “People have a sh*t ton to say about me… doing OnlyFans and at the end of the day, I do all of this for my kids.” She adds, “The money I make, it’s going straight to them - their college funds, not telling them no, vacations, all of that stuff. I’m a mama first."
