Wrestling Icon Joins OnlyFans at 55

It seems of late we’ve had a stream of actors and celebrities joining OnlyFans, but now it’s the pro wrestling community’s turn. Prolific former WWE Wrestler Dawn Marie is starting up her OnlyFans account, a move which is sure to excite wrestling fans. 

Before OnlyFans, the Rahway, New Jersey native worked in the real estate business and was later employed as a model. Marie never saw herself as a professional athlete, much less a wrestler. But it was modeling that just so happened to introduce her to the sport where she would become an icon. One day, while signing posters for an agent and wrestling promoter, Marie says she joked that she wanted to pursue a career in wrestling. The sarcastic nature of the remark didn’t register with the agent, who later called to inform her she had been selected to manage a pro wrestler in an upcoming match. After a few years on the pro wrestling circuit, Marie announced herself to everyone with a memorable performance at the 1998 Extreme Championship Wrestling event. Her character’s frequent feuds and lovable awkwardness quickly earned the respect and attention of wrestling fans everywhere, and she signed a deal in 2002 with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), the United States’ premiere wrestling promoter.  

After just three years, Marie was “released” by her bosses at WWE. She later filed a wrongful termination lawsuit, claiming WWE CEO & Founder Vince McMahon fired her because she was pregnant. She explained in a 2024 podcast appearance, “[McMahon] fired me when I was pregnant or because I was pregnant,” she added, “That’s a whole nother story. But again, I guess I’m just that person. That we handled it, it was business. And that’s it.” Marie and WWE opted to settle instead of going to court, the terms of that settlement have not been made public. 

After being let go by WWE, Marie bounced around the Independent pro wrestling circuit for a while. In 2010, she was inducted into the Women Superstars Uncensored Hall of Fame. She called it a career in 2012, briefly resurfacing for a reunion with WWE in 2024.

Dawn Marie wants to be clear that her OnlyFans subscribers shouldn’t expect any X-rated content. Her bio outlines this, stating, “Please note only sexy shoots and implied nudity will ever be shown here. No full nudity or overtly sexual/adult content is allowed.” So far, the former wrestler has 37 photos, two videos and more than 2,500 likes. She charges $12.95 a month to subscribe. 

Marie is only the most recent celebrity to have joined OnlyFans. In just the past few months, the platform has seen the addition of Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica), Erika Eleniak (Baywatch) and 85 year-old Donna Mills (Knots Landing) to name a few. Mills’ OnlyFans page, like Marie’s, doesn’t bill itself as a place for explicit content, but rather a place for Mills to further interact with fans. The catalyst for Mills’ move to OnlyFans was Creators Inc. CEO Andrew Bachman, who has been encouraging and consulting with the octogenarian as she starts her OnlyFans journey. He says, “Donna has always been fearless and ahead of her time… She is approaching OnlyFans on her own terms and creating a space that feels authentic, personal and completely true to her.” These stories are proof that, while OnlyFans as a platform might be known for its spicy content, it’s also closing the gap between celebrities and their fans.

As for Marie, she’s enjoying interacting with fans. Marie’s bio says, “I’d love to hear from you in DM’s so don’t be shy, send me a message! Keep it fun, flirty and respectful.” She’s just getting started on OnlyFans, but, if her pro wrestling career is any indication, we’re in for a wild ride full of fun new experiences.
