OnlyFans has seen a meteoric rise, in large part thanks to the platform’s magic ability to turn over 5,000 creators into millionaires. But let’s look away (for a moment) from who’s earning the most, to who’s spending the most.
The folks at OnlyFans search engine OnlyFinder just released some fascinating new data that gives us an in-depth look at where the biggest spenders on OnlyFans tend to live. The results are surprising, so place your bets and prepare to learn something new. Who knows, your estimates might be proven right!
We’ll take a zoomed out look first. Of all the countries with OnlyFans spending data, the United States is first and it’s hardly even close. The U.S. spent $4.82 billion (with a b) on OnlyFans in 2026, up 8.04% from the previous year. The United Kingdom is a distant second, having spent $352.24 million on OnlyFans this year, also roughly an 8% rise. In third place is Italy, spending $188.65 million this year, down 6.5% from last year’s $201.84 million.
The rest of the top ten big spenders is a smattering of populous European countries, with the exception of Canada, Mexico and Australia, who placed 5th, 6th and 9th, respectively. Of the continents that aren’t also countries (cough cough, Australia), the UK leads Europe, India leads Asia, South Africa leads Africa, Brazil leads South America and the U.S. leads North America (as previously mentioned). If you’re curious, Antarctica spent $84,000 on OnlyFans, a surprising number, but they’re dead last globally, probably thanks to the continent having no indigenous population.
At the state level, population is the biggest driver of total money spent. The data basically mirrors the list of the U.S.’s most populous states. California’s first at $617.2 million, followed by Texas’ $431.2 million. New York, Florida and Illinois round out the top five at $338.7 million, $285.4 million and $226.4 million, respectively. Interestingly, Pennsylvania is more populous than Illinois, but spent only $184.4 million, $42 million less than the Land of Lincoln. OnlyFans, unlike adult site PornHub, have adhered to age-verification laws being enacted in a growing number of states. This opens the platform up to populated markets that currently lack a reliable source of adult content.
OnlyFinder also tracked spending per 10,000 people at the state and city level, which is where population becomes largely irrelevant.
Shockingly, at the state level, D.C. spends the most per 10,000 people, with $274,413.96 spent. Colorado’s not far off, spending $241,158.77. Illinoisans and *gasp* New Mexicans are neck and neck, spending $226,032.36 and $225,772.02 respectively. The top 10 spenders per 10,000 people include other not particularly populated states like Nevada, New Hampshire, Washington (state) and Maine. Alaska and Vermont spend the lowest per 10,000 people, with Alaska spending $193,434 per 10,000 and Montana spending $177,374 per 10,000.
Somehow, Portland, Oregon spends the most per 10,000 people. Despite its relatively tiny estimated population of 640,000, apparently Portlanders have the means to pay for some pretty boutique content. Los Angeles, California comes in second, just a little less than $6,000 under Portland’s $455,290.72 total spend. Raleigh, North Carolina, Honolulu, Hawaii and New Orleans, Louisiana round out the top five biggest spenders per 10,000 residents. Intriguingly, despite Louisiana being 41st in spend per 10,000 residents, New Orleanians are still shelling out about $420,650.28 per 10,000 residents. Only one European city made it into the top 10 when it comes to this category: Zurich, Switzerland comes in 6th place, $402,274.62 per 10,000. It’s a long scroll before the next European city appears. Milan, Italy spends $296,038.80, good enough for 30th place.
These data are extremely interesting, even more so when external factors like income, adult content laws and population density are taken into account. On the whole, the world spent $7.8 billion on OnlyFans, up 7.6% from 2025. The United States accounted for $4.8 billion spent.
Overall, it’s clear OnlyFans isn’t done growing. The level of popularity attained in the United States is eye-popping, and the big markets for OnlyFans have continued to deliver larger and larger numbers. Before this platform started, it was much harder to directly support content creators, celebrities and athletes. But OnlyFans changed the game, and it’s likely the pioneering platform will continue to see exponential growth.
