"School of Rock" Star The Latest Celebrity to Join OnlyFans

Way back in 2003, there was a movie called School of Rock, featuring Jack Black and Miranda Cosgrove, who both went on to have impressive acting careers. But you won’t catch either of them on OnlyFans, unlike their co-star.

Rivkah Reyes recently turned 33 and is using OnlyFans as a way of supplementing the income they receive from their multiple music projects. School of Rock told the story of a failing guitarist (played by Jack Black) posing as a substitute teacher for a snooty prep school’s music class, where he rediscovers his passion for music and shares it with the students. One of those students, bass player Katie, was played by Reyes who now enjoys plenty of attention on OnlyFans.

Reyes, who identifies as non-binary, has a nice mix of content on their OnlyFans account. You’ll find some explicit stuff, obviously, but there’s also slice-of-life content and behind-the-scenes access to some of their music, which they describe as “sapphic bubblegrunge”. Reyes currently has over 2,500 monthly listeners on Spotify, with their top song, “sick” nearing 25,000 streams. 

Reyes took a break from acting after School of Rock, only returning in a short film called Cool Nerds in 2014, where they had a minor role. They say that starring in a huge production like School of Rock made them a target of a great many bullies, and, while they acknowledged the attention they got wasn’t all bad, they took time away to deal with “a lot of demons.” They said, “When I first came back to school, people were really nice or really mean. There was no middle ground.” They added that they were often followed around school to chants of “School of Rock”. 

Reyes isn’t the only actor to make some good money off of OnlyFans, however. Recent OnlyFans converts include Jaime Pressly (of My Name is Earl), Shannon Elizabeth (of American Pie) and Denise Richards (of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills). This is by no means an exhaustive list of all the actors on OnlyFans, but these ladies in particular have been quite successful. Specifically, Shannon Elizabeth reported earnings of over $1 million in just her first week on the platform.

Other actresses-turned-models have often voiced that the acceptance of the adult industry has been less conditional than showbusiness. Maitland Ward, now a popular adult film star, was previously known for her roles on Boy Meets World and soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful says that the pros far outweigh the cons of becoming an adult performer. She sees Hollywood as an industry more focused on typecasting, whereas OnlyFans creators and adult performers are able to be whomever they want, without judgement and they can earn far more than they would acting. Plus, rather than acting in someone else’s production and not owning the rights to it, OnlyFans takes no ownership of any posts on the platform, so an actor actually has property belonging to them, instead of just being a cog in a bigger machine. 

As for Reyes, it’s still early on in their OnlyFans journey, but many others who have ditched acting for other, more NSFW pursuits have been greeted with great financial windfalls and recognition. It remains to be seen if that will happen for Reyes, but they’re hoping to raise money through OnlyFans to pay for their musical aspirations.
